 رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith. (2:286)

Prayer clears the mist and brings back peace to the soul.

وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ

Seek Allah’s help with patient perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard except for those who are humble.

Ya Wahhab. Ya Wahhab. Ya Wahhab. Ya musebbiba l-asbab. Ya Mufattiha l-abwab. Ya muqallib l-qulub wa l-absar. Ya Dalila l-mutahayyirin. Ya ghiyatha l-mustaghitheen. Ya Hayy. Ya Qayyum. Ya dha l-Jalali wa l-ikram. Ya ufawwidu amriyy ila-llah; innallaha basirun bi l-‘ibad.

Metaphysics of Salah; Shaykh Hamza Yusuf (hafidhahullah)

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba’d idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahma innaka anta l-Wahhab. (3:8)

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us; and grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure.

يا مُقلِب القُلوبِ ثَبِت قَلبى عَلى دينِكَ

O Controller of the hearts; keep my heart upon Your Deen. 

“All those calamities and misfortunes that descends and that which will descend in the future can be averted and protected from, by Du‘a. So, Oh servant of Allah! Observe Du‘a!” ~Prophet Muhammad (sallAllahu ‘aleyhi wa sallam)

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

Show us the straight way, the way of those on whom You have bestowed Thy Grace, those whose portion is not wrath, and who go not astray.

~Surah al-Fatiha, verses 6-7

Guantanamo Bay.

Allaahumma munzilal-kitaabi, saree’al-hisaabi, ihzimil-‘ahzaaba, Allaahumma ihzimhum wa zalzilhum. 

Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift to account , defeat the groups (of disbelievers) . O Allah , defeat them and shake them.
